I’ve learnt one thing through dancing:
Being the best dancer means that you’re the best at representing the music. You’re the best at translating the music from a form that one experiences with the ear (music) to one that one experiences with the eye (dance).
On the other hand, being the best entertainer means that you’re the best at translating the music from a form that one experiences with the ear (again, music) to one that one experiences with the heart (something that cannot be explained with words alone). You’re the best at making the audience feel the music. You’re the best at bringing the audience into your world of dance… And they love it.
That’s why the best entertainers win. Because all of this (life) is actually about connecting with people first, music second.
