My dear,
You don’t marry someone you can live with, you marry the person who you cannot live without.
Because trust me, there are going to be ups and downs. And if you marry someone who’s in your eyes perfect, then you’re going to hate every minute of every day that they’re not. But if you marry someone who you absolutely know is not perfect, but can’t keep yourself away from – well then, they have no unrealistic expectations to meet, or more likely break.
That’s the whole point of being realistic about marriage I suppose. Voluntarily giving up the abstract perfect world you envisioned for the reality.
Falsely yours,
A. Nonymous
