Everybody has dreams, until ‘real life’ gets in the way. Everybody has resolutions they plan to keep year after year, until unforeseen circumstances get in the way.

Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face.

Now, the people who get things done, who do what they say, who end up affecting the world, they have a plan, but they also never stop thinking or changing that plan to fit circumstances. No, they don’t change their direction or make their goals smaller. No, they don’t run away once they get punched. They think, devise how to overcome getting punched in the face again and then move forward again, and they use their new found knowledge to avoid this punch… then they move on to the next and better punch and do it all over again, ad infinitum.

Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face… The great have plans even while getting punched in the face.
