My dear,
Don’t you think the current school system is set up wrong?
Students go to class and spend their time learning how to deal with being bored for hours by a teacher’s lecture. Meanwhile, the teacher is also dreading repeating the same mundane stuff over and over to the same students. Then the students go home and are forced to maneuver through difficult questions alone; without assistant from the teacher.
As opposed to vice versa. The students would listen to lectures at home, and for the teacher class time would be about helping them with the questions they don’t understand. No one’s bored, and the system works.
I see a lot less students failing and/or dropping out of a school like that.
Falsely yours,
Sal Kahn
