Most people say that they never get the opportunities to do what they want. But they’re wrong.

What most people don’t realize is that they never answer opportunity when it knocks. They don’t realize that they’re deaf to that first rap on their door, and that’s all the knocking that opportunity will do before it leaves and knocks on someone else’s door. Someone more eager to answer it.

What most people hear knocking at their door is temptation.

Opportunity tends to knock once, then it’s gone… Temptation, however, likes to stand there and lean on the damn doorbell.

So stand by your door. Listen for that first and only knock from opportunity that you’re likely to get. And then walk away from the door, for temptation is likely to stay there all night waiting for your response.
