My dear,
Yesterday, I met a woman who grew her own food, owned her own land, and enjoyed that land to the fullest. She didn’t have a bank account because she didn’t need to make more money. In fact, she didn’t money at all. She didn’t need makeup because she loved herself and didn’t think adding a false layer to herself would let people see the real her. She didn’t want to change the world, or feel a need to, she instead felt a need to enjoy her life, and her loves – and she did, every day. She didn’t need a smartphone because all her friends were friends she would gladly talk to face-to-face, and she didn’t need to play games on a phone, when she could play games in the world. She didn’t even watch TV! Or want to be on it!
My God, she was either the sanest person I’ve ever met, or the exact opposite. Afterall,
A sane person to an insane society must appear insane.
And I’ve been questioning the sanity of our society a lot lately.
Falsely yours,
